Job Summary

 

This role within the London-based EMEA Disney Partnerships team will help lead partnership growth for Disney+. The primary focus of this role will be managing external client outreach to identify potential brands to develop new partnerships that drive incremental subscriber growth for Disney+ across all sectors outside of Pay TV and Telco. Partnerships are a core part of Disney+ growth plan so this role will be instrumental in driving this growth, across several deal types, working with the DTC + affiliate teams.

 

This role will develop a close understanding of the Disney+ commercial business and our content offering to identify, approach and help negotiate long term commercial deals that deliver subscription growth and can help unlock marketing and promotional value for Disney+, as well as broader integrated opportunities across ad sales.

 

When regional opportunities arise, this role will lead co-ordination with other markets to deliver the campaign and will support our local market teams in identifying brands, aligning on strategy and sharing best practise guidelines. The role will also help support local markets teams across EMEA identify and target key brand partners in market, ensuring a consistent strategy across the region. This role will also take responsibility for developing the GTM narrative and sales toolkit / presentations in consultation with commercial, insights and marketing teams. In addition, this role will co-ordinate closely with key stakeholders to ensure that partnerships are delivering on Disney+ key strategic priorities.

 

This role will also require the successful candidate to work with lots of different stakeholders across the business to align on priorities and collaborate on opportunities. To do this effectively, there will be an emphasis for the successful candidate to ensure excellent levels of communication across the organisation; to share information in a timely and efficient manner, locally, regionally and globally, as well as work in a matrix environment.

 

This role requires a high personal accountability for self and others and will involve internal stakeholder management and the need to influence senior executive thinking, both internally and externally

 

The Opportunity & Responsibilities:

 

Disney+ subscription and Marketing partnerships in UK& EMEA.

Help deliver UK, multi-territory and local market deals for Disney+

Ensure delivering best in class opportunities for our partners

Collaborate with all internal stakeholders to ensure deals delivered efficiently, effectively and on strategy

Help identify integrated opportunities to extend beyond subscriptions to drive marketing and advertising opportunities with the partner

Responsibility for refining the opportunity and pitching to clients • Develop a strong network of internal and external relationships.

Strong understanding of the wider Disney+ ecosystem and all the partnership opportunities (promotions, ad sales, affiliates and distribution).

The Experience & Skills We Require From You:

 

Graduate level or equivalent experience (essential)

Previous experience at Senior Manager level (essential)

A minimum of 7-8 years in partnerships role (essential)

Prior experience in DTC or subscription services role

Strong multifaceted deal negotiation skills (essential)

Experience with international or global partnerships deals

Good understanding of media landscape and ideally TV/CTV experience

An understanding of IP rights, protocol and processes

Experience of successfully influencing senior management & direct reports

Consultative selling - understanding of the different objectives that a partner might have, and an ability to design campaigns to meet those (essential)

Confident communicator with exceptional presentation skills (essential)

Inter-company collaboration – the ability to build strong collaborative relationships within The Walt Disney Company, across all lines of business (essential)

Extensive knowledge of PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel & Keynote (essential)

Familiarity with multi-market deal structures and the ability to navigate complex global matrix organisations

A deep understanding of the competitive DTC market place: competitor offerings well as competitors from across the spectrum of entertainment partnerships

Ability to work in a multi-cultured and multi-faceted environment

Strong network of contacts with brands

Knowledge of subscription, loyalty or reward programmes beneficial

Additional Information

 

Some European travel may be required.

 

This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).
