Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum.

Job overview

We are looking for an experienced and organised administrator to recruit as a Audio Typist/Admin Support.

 

The post will be based within the General Surgery Directorate, and the post holder will be required to perform a range of administration and secretarial duties within the Vascular service.

 

The successful candidate will have the ability to work well as part of a team, be flexible to the needs of the service and able to demonstrate a commitment to achieving high quality standards of work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required as you will liaise with professionals and patients.

 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide a comprehensive and high quality secretarial and administrative support within the Vascular service.

 

The post holder will be expected to liaise in a professional manner with colleagues, patients and parents/guardians and undertake a wide spectrum of administrative and secretarial duties.

The purpose of this role is to provide accurate verbal and written medical advice and statutory certification in respect of claims, reviews and appeals for the War Pension Scheme and Armed Forces Compensation Scheme. The role can be office based with some homeworking and requires no clinical contact with those applying for the schemes.
